Share Your Plate is all about nourishing the body and the soul with love, grace and harmony.
We are building an online community where people of all backgrounds are sharing their culture and cuisines with one another.
This is a community where people from all walks of life and from many different ethnic backgrounds share their favorite dish or dishes, which they feel represents their culture, and why it’s important to them. The site is multimedia capable, with recipes, photos, audio and video, and will enable people to comment and share with one another.
This project was started by Chef Mark Tafoya, co-founder and producer of The Gilded Fork’s Culinary Media Network. Chef Mark’s mission in life is to bring people together through the stories and dishes which bind us all.
In addition to the storytelling aspect of Share Your Plate, there will be an ongoing charity component which will benefit local food banks or hunger charities in each participating region. By mid-August, we will have a worldwide potluck, which will call forth the possibility that the world is nourished with love, ease and grace. This will be the first of what we hope will be many worldwide potluck events, one every few months!
How can I Share MY Plate?
We are just in the beginning stages of building the team for this wonderful endeavor, and we’re looking for web designers, artists, videographers, bloggers, chefs, home cooks, and people with lots of love in their hearts to join us in making this a worldwide event!
